The essential oils in this Canine Insect Repellent (spray and gel version) are low‑phenol and low‑ketone, which makes it safe for your dog's skin. Geranium hydrosol, the base of both, the spray and gel version, is even gentler because hydrosols contain <1% of the volatile compounds found in essential oils.
Insect Targets by Essential Oil:
- Cedarwood: Insects repelled: Ticks, fleas, crawling insects.
- Lemongrass: Insects repelled: Mosquitoes, biting flies, nuisance insects.

Kunzea: Insects repelled: Ticks, sandflies, midges, biting insects.
- Geranium (Geraniol): Insects repelled: Ticks, mosquitoes, gnats, flies.
Choose your style and size: 4 oz spray, 8 oz spray, or 8 oz aloe gel base.
How to use:
- Gel: work 1–2 pumps through the coat of a smaller dog or 3-4 pumps for a larger dog.
- Spray: gently swirl the bottle and mist onto the coat, concentrating on scruff, under belly and between legs, avoiding face.
